Greetings! Hope you are having a blessed week! Thank you so much for all your loving care for the teachers and children in your group! We are so blessed to get to work with you! Since we are in the midst of winter, albeit a mild one, it is still cold and flu season, and it was brought to our attention last week that several children were left in class with some symptoms that really warranted them being held out of CM. As a result, we decided to clarify a sick policy so that both parents and teachers are aware of when a child should be kept out of class. I have attached a second draft of a letter to parents that is pending approval from Tito, and would then be in final form, but at least the policy is set and clear. I will be making signs to post at the doors to inform parents of the policy as well as getting the letter to them. We would ask that the teachers be made aware of this policy and that they gently inform parents whose children do not meet the well child criteria that they should keep their child out of class that week. (Any issues they have with this can be brought to Rich and I) If in the flurry of arrivals a child does happen to slip by that should not be in class, we would ask that they gently go and get the parent from the service. Hopefully, this will not be necessary, but we should be prepared to follow up of needed. Please let us know your thoughts or concerns regarding this. We are certainly not trying to exclude anyone, rather trying to consider others above ourselves, and not infect other families. We will try to have a meeting with all of you sometime in February. We have received the new curriculum. Please let us know if you will be needing it before we meet. Thanks again for all you do to keep your class going strong and for your desire to honor God in the way you serve your class. We appreciate you! Rich and Robyn
