I referenced this photo in my sermon on Sunday, but I thought I'd post it for you to see a little better. This is a visualization of the Bible's interconnectedness, and won an honorable mention in a National Science Foundation competition this year. It is a picture of how the nearly 64,000 cross-references between
nearly 1200 chapters in the Bible are woven together inseparably. The vertical lines on the bottom are each of the chapters in the
Bible (the longer the lines, the longer the chapter), and the colored
arcs are the connections between those chapters. Despite the number of
writers of the pages of Scripture, the ultimate author is God, who has
pieced together the most remarkable piece of literature ever known to
man, which is also his inerrant Word to us. As you study this photo,
marvel at the God who so kindly has revealed himself to us consistently
throughout redemptive history. read more »
