The most dangerous place in the world for a young believer, in my opinion, may not be in the Middle East or China where Christians are persecuted. It’s not public high school, or secular college or at Happy Hour after work. I think the most dangerous place a young believer can go might be the local Christian bookstore.  read more »

A few months back I began a series of blogs on discernment.  I came across an online panel discussion that really highlighted for me why discernment of truth is so critical.  The panel featured Kevin DeYoung, author of “Why We’re Not Emergent (By Two Guys Who Should Be”, who will also be a featured speaker at NEXT conference this year, along with Alex and Brett Harris on the “Young, Restless, Reformed” side, and Tony Jones, one of the founders of the Emergent church movement/conversation, and Scott McKnight, a moderate supporter of the Emergent church movement.  If you have 90 minutes, you can watch the discussion here.  read more »
