Marriage Because the covenant of matrimony between a man and a woman is the earthly representation of the relationship between Christ and his bride (Ephesians 5:25-27), we zealously seek to advance the progress of our marriages. In keeping with such robust theology, our accent is on the biblical roles of humble, servant leadership of husbands and joyful, intelligent submission of wives.
Children In accordance with scripture we heartily concur that, “Children are a heritage from the Lord" (Psalm 127:3-5). In taking seriously the privilege and responsibility of training the next generation, the church purposes to equip parents in fulfilling their roles as fathers and mothers. Our Children’s Ministry seeks to support the precedence of parental instruction by supplemental Sunday School teaching that is joyful, biblical and gospel oriented.
Youth The scriptural model for teenagers is not one of growing distance from the family and local church but increasing intimacy and involvement as they mature towards adulthood. To that end Grace Community sponsors parent-involved youth events and meetings in order to return, “the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers" (Malachi 4:6).
Singles Since God considers singleness a gift (I Corinthians 7:7), we at Grace Community seek to equip unmarried men and women to live passionately and purposefully in their unique season of undivided service and devotion to the Lord. Monthly Singles' Meetings in conjunction with Covenant Life Church as well as various contexts for developing godly friendships and a flourishing campus ministry at Patrick Henry College are just some of the opportunities provided for this group.
Counseling In an age where secular counseling dominates the church, we uphold that the Bible remains sufficient for the issues of the soul (I Timothy 3:16). Our training is as nouthetic counselors, wherein we endeavor to apply the transforming effect of Scripture’s wisdom for the problems we confront in daily life.
